Slow answer from file properties.

Hi,

I have a windows 2000 server connected by a crossover
utp cable in a windows professional 2000 machine. Every
thing works fine and fast for file copies logon on domain
etc etc... But when i wan't to see the properties of a
file that is stored on the server from my client, it takes
40 seconds.

Does any one know what's going on ?

Does any one know what's going on ?

Maybe there is a delay getting the security details. I've noticed similar
behaviour when a file has some SID associated with it but that account no
longer exists, or access to those details is not available due to my own
security permissions.
