My high speed cable modem surfing environment is behaving like a 28 k frozen
modem.
My settings for XP's Firewall are all at default. I have recently installed
NAV 2004. Could this be the culprit?
When I go back a page or forward (while surfing) , it takes forever to load
onto the screen.

Only way to find out if NAV is the issue is to remove it and that can be a
hassle in itself. Did you have this problem prior to installing it.

A lot of sites are slow right now because of the recent worm attacks.

Slow going forward or back may indicate the cache needs to be emptied. Open
IE, go to Tools, select Internet Options, click Delete Cookies, Delete files
and accept the option to delete all offline content and clear History, then
try again and see if you still have the problem.

I deleted all cache, cookies, offline files and history. Nothing changed
after doing that. Disabled NAV and ran through a couple of web pages.
Internet speed back up to normal now. What could be the config problem
inside NAV?

Thanks Michael,
I just did that and they say 2 to 3 biz days for an answer. I guess I could
experiment in the meantime.
Thanks again...

You're welcome, wish I had more but when you start dealing with their
configuration settings, it's best to let them handle it.

You might check the Knowledge Base at their web site and search for similar
issues.
