I have much faster boot time than in Beta 2. But I also noticed that
shutdown time es still very slow. Even one of the times Vista failed to
shutdown and I had to do a hard reset.

Angel.

On my install the shutdown with 5536 is much faster than with Beta2. Both
boot time and shutdown time have improved, but maybe I had a conflict before
that MS straightened out. I know one of the problems that was listed in my
Beta2 problem/solution section mentioned something about boot time and shut
down time and that the problem would be corrected in later builds.

Same here. Beta 2, especially did not want to shut down/restart. The
sidebar would disappear, then the computer would just sit there and do
nothing, but of course I couldn't get into the task manager to see what was
stalling out. I have also noticed that shut-down speeds are still fairly
slow.
Windows 98 shut-down almost instantly.
Windows XP takes around 10 seconds to shut-down.
Windows Vista 5536 takes 19 seconds to shut-down.
Windows Vista Beta 2 took 28 seconds to shut-down.

Anyone else having very slow shutdown and/or restart issues?

One of the many diagnostics tools within Vista (cannot remember which)
suggests that winSat.exe is causing me startup and shutdown problems. I
haven't really noticed much of a problem though.
