In preparation for a XP Home repair install, I'm slipstreaming the
service packs per Michael Stevens site. The links provided go to
Network installation versions, which they say single computer users
(like me) will be wasting disk space with. I couldn't find single-user
files of either for download. Does this make any difference in the end?
Thanks,

Gene

No. There isn't a "single-user" download, as those are taken care of by
WindowsUpdate, which checks the machine and takes only those upgrades
relevant to that machine, usually on the order of 75-100MB. The network
installation file (~266MB) has "everything" for "every" machine, but
installs only those relevant for the machine it's running on.

Your only talking about a180mb difference give or take.
Everything I have read in the past tells me the Network version is the way
to go.

Gene,

Don't bother with SP1, just slipstream XP2 since it includes all updates
and fixes including those in SP1 and superceded in SP2.
