annoying guy

i can't find my original win2k pro (gold) installation disc, so i'm
wondering if i can make a bootable win2k sp4 installation disc from
the slipstreamed win2k sp3 installation disc i made on cd-r. i know
this is probably a dumb question, but i noticed already that there
are many files containing "sp3" in their name after i attempted the
sp4 slipstream on my hard drive. trust me, i did everything right
and the slipstream was successful, but i still have all those "sp3"
files hanging around.

i know. i'm probably just being anal. or do i have a real problem
here?

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to integrate SP4 onto an
already integrated disk. Think about the CDs that shipped with SPs already
on them, they can probably still be integrated.

It's worth a shot - be sure to post your results :)

I'll second that. There's no problem doing this. I just left the SP3 files
there. I don't know if they get used or not.

Greetings --

Well, I made my Win2K SP3 installation disks by slipstreaming SP3
in the Win2K SP2 installation files, so you should have no trouble.
