slightly wavey display??please help.

Hi i have recently discovered my desktop has become a little say wavey.

Hard to describe exactly i have a tft flatscreen monitor and i seem to
be experiencing a slight display problem the screen is kind of
flickering slightly.
Best way tpo describe it may be that the while i can see everything on
the screen fine its just not a totally sharp picture if you get my
drift.

i ahve installed latest drivers for my gfx card but it still persists
any ideas???

The buttons at the bottom of your lovely TFT display are there for you to
set up the screen properly.
The manual that came with the display should explain how..........mine did
By gfx do you mean the Nvidea cards with a GFX title or the really old
original GFX video card that went out of business before TFT were on the
market??

In my part of the world it is very hot and people are setting up fans and air
conditioners for relief. Sometimes,if set too close to your monitor or if
they are connected to the same circuit, the motors in these devices can cause
this problem.
I have seen this at my work place and at my home. If you suspect this,turn
off any devices with electric motors/fans in them that are close to your
monitor and/or computer and see if the wavey display disappears.

I like DB's suggestion. A friend of mine had a light with a dimmer on same
plug outlet as her monitors. Moving the lamp to another plug helped.

Might also try plugging monitor into a plug that's on a circuit different
than the rest of the PC. If not possible to access a different circuit,
sometimes just a different plug (another wall socket in the same room) can
make a difference.

Since summer heat has arrived, I noticed a bit of waviness starting to
appear on one of my TFT monitors. I was able to get rid of it by turning
down the refresh rate a touch.
