I know these NG's are about Windows software being used for vpn, and as a newbie I've had
success in setting vpn up on XP machines but I preferred to get a dedicated vpn
stand-alone device and I'm and not sure where to start. I want a vpn server that will
enable me to access a small lan of PC's and a networked printer from a client computer on
the internet. I've seen a couple of vpn routers on ebay but not sure what they can do. I
like cisco gear but not sure which device I should get. Even my own router (Billion BiPac
5200G) boasts 'vpn pass-through' on the box but think this might be sales spiel as I can't
find anything in the gui to configure vpn.
TIA if you know of any good gear.
