Looks like our tv-tuner cards crap out in 2 years. I know the
"digital" tv-tuners are coming in this winter. One is ATI for
sure, and will be pci-e X1. This article is the first one I've
read that begins to unravel the HDTV jargon. I will have it
with me when I go HDTV shopping. I hope this guy updates
it when the time comes.

which just goes to show if you buy into anything right now your buying
the equivalent of a beta tape player.

HDTV is a joke at best and has been for what 7 years now..? Like I really
want to watch the garbage that TV puts out in ' high definition
'.............GMAB! tuners cards crap out? what are you spewing now? we
will all be out of glorious TV in two years, less we jump into HDTV? wanna
bet? Here's what I think Of HDTV... won't even enter the ACro in my
spellchecker.
 
Without TV of some kind, our wives will bang
that to-do list down in front of us, and we better
be hopping, or else. No more beer. No more
sitting up til 2 AM. Have to play with the kids.
Have to visit the grandkids, and get cussed
out for something the daughter did in the
4th grade. Oh man! We have got to get
serious about this :-)

VHS and Beta were competing standards. DTV is a mandated standard with no
competition.
Normally your posts are at least intelligent, this one is pure BS. Not
worthy of further comment.
