(Slightly OT) ACF access via Outlook Express?

I'm probably going to seem like a dumbbell now but, I'm currently
having to access ACF via Google Groups because I can't get access via
OE (apparently due to AOL (my ISP until next week)).

I'm wondering therefore, if anyone knows a way to bypass having to use
my ISP to access the ACF newsgroups, and if so, how?.

You might give this a try. It takes awhile to run, but it will locate
free news servers. Run it in alt.test, or another group with a large
number of individual posts for a larger pool of servers to check.

There is a German server that quite a few people use. I don't know the
details though.

A group like 24hoursupport.helpdesk or alt.free.newsservers are good
groups to ask in also.

http://news.individual.net/ is a great German news server for text only
groups.

It is free (no binaries) and is excellent. Used by a great many people.
