With PowerPoint 2003 how do I adjust my photos (jpg's) so that each one
opens to full monitor limits. Right now all my photos are 2288x1712
(wxh), but some of them fit the monitor and some don't.

Thanks

Hi,

Well, the normal method is dragging the handles. However, if you create the
presentation from scratch, you could go |Insert | Picture | New Photo Album.
There are options there to load all of your images, and make them fit the
slides. Else, go to www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq and search for the rnr tools
addin which has a free but upgradeable addin with a memory setting for
images. Make one the right size and you can add that setting to other
images. HTH.

If you only have a few of them to do and they are all the same layout as
your page setup (landscape orientation), you can click "Format",
"Background", click the dropdown arrow and select "Fill Effects", click the
"Picture" TAB and browse and find your image. This way it becomes the
actual background which will automatically resize it to your slide size.

Of course if it a portrait image it will get "skewed".

I don't understand why they don't all fit to begin with. I shot them
all at the same resolution. Why are some fitting and some aren't?

Did you do any editing in an image editor? Perhaps that's making a
difference.

Do you have autolayouts turned on in PPT? Are all the slide layouts
blank slide layouts, or do some have a title placeholder along with that
blank layout? That coupled with autolayouts will resize the pix when
they're inserted.

None of the photos were edited.
I'm not aware of the autolayout option.
All the slides are blank slides without any text frames.
I tried the photo album option and all the photos fit.
If I use the photo album option every time, will I be restricted in what
options I can use with my slideshows, handouts, etc?
