Yes.... easiest way is to use TweakUI. It's under Explorer->Slide Show.

any way of changing the time the photos show for when
viewing photos using the slideshow option?

Thanks Larry you and 1 other and made my day, its all
working just the way i like it now, plus i have lots more
little tools in which to go silly on when im drunk and
mess the whole bloody thing up ;-) have a blessed life.
