Hi, When I start a new presentation I go to Master slide view. I want to
use either use the title placeholder or the subtitle placeholder not both.
When I delete one or the other from the master view it does show up on the
normal view.
I would just leave the placeholders alone. They don't show up in slide show
view, nor do they print. If you delete them from your master, you can end up
with odd placeholder fills later. Just ignore them in Normal View.
I make about 100 slides per week with beautiful backgrounds and 2 or 3
lines of text on each. Then I save them on my hardrive which I can use
later. Most of the time I like to change the background and when I check the
checkbox to delete background from master slides it doesnt work sometimes.
Any suggestions on these. Thanks
Assuming this is a separate question, I suppose it may depend what's on your
background. It helps also if you can define what exactly "doesn't work"
means. See, "doesn't work sometimes" covers a *lot* of ground...
The checkbox is actually "omit background graphics from master," and it just
suppresses any objects/graphics/pictures/etc., you might have on the master
slide so that they don't show.
And it only suppresses those elements for that particular slide, unless, of
course, you choose "apply to all" instead of just "apply." This setting does
not actually delete your graphics from the master slides, nor does it
suppress things like text placeholders.
That brings up a thought, though. If you're using multiple masters (feature
of PPT 2002 and 2003), you'd then have multiple masters on which to check
"omit background graphics from master."
