I am trying to teach myself how to put a slide show together. I have set it
up as a kiosk and checked the advance on mouse click button. There will be
no sound. After I save the file and click the icon to begin the show it
goes to the first page. I click the mouse repeatedly to no avail, it will
not advance. I went back and checked the slide transition and the advance
on mouse click is still checked. What am I doing wrong?

The "Browsed at a KIOSK" function is to take away the mouse-clicking
capabilities. It's purpose is to control when and where the user can and
can't go in a presentation. If you want to simply click a mouse to move to
the next animation (or slide), click the "Presented by a speaker" option.
Otherwise, you need to insert action buttons that take you to the Next or
Previous slides (Open Drawing toolbar, click "Autoshapes", "Action
Buttons"). You will see all the built in buttons that can be used to
maneuver throughout your presentation.
