[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]
Hello,
This is a known issue. The workaround is to apply the "Continue slide show"
setting to inserted sound objects using the legacy Custom Animation dialog
(not the Custom Animation pane).
To get to the Custom Animation dialog you must first disable the new
animation features in PowerPoint 2002 and 2003:
1) Tools -> Options
2) Switch to "Edit" tab
3) Check the "New animation effects" under the "Disable new features" group
and
4) Click OK
To apply the "Continue slide show" setting, repeat the following for each
sound object that you want to behave this way:
1) Select sound object
2) Slide Show -> Custom Animation
3) Switch to "Multimedia setting" tabl of the dialog,
4) Check the "Continue slide show" option and
5) Click OK
