I created a presentation in PP XP. I sent the presentation to someon
with PP 2000. The timings were all screwed up, and they were not abl
to change them. When they tried to do a rehearse timing to fix it eve
though the time changes on the slide view, when they run the slide sho
the times are still screwed up. The times go very fast, if the time i
12 seconds it may only take 1 or 2. What is the deal with this? I
there anything that you can do in some sort of setup?

Thanks in advance

First thing to do is to set your timings in PPT 2002 (aka XP) after
going to Tools/Options and disabling the new animations and transitions.
That effectively takes you back to "2000 mode," which will help with the
timings.

Next thing is to realize that synchronous timing is not PPT's strong
suit. Presentations will play differently on different machines -- even
on the same machine for that matter. But I suspect that in this case,
you're having trouble with the animations, based on your description.

Or have the person use the 2003 PPT Viewer to play the show -- it
respects the timings and animations available in PPT 2002/2003.
