I needed to make a powerpoint presentation for school, but our school computers are crap and I figured it would be best for me to make mine at home. I have a version of powerpoint 2000 on one of my computers, but I chose to make mine on the computer which has powerpoint 2002. Big mistake. The school computers only have powerpoint 2000. Once I had finished my presentation I put it on a cd and checked it at school, and all the animations and transitions are defualt and go instantly. The whole presentation is done in seconds! Im trying to fix it on my other computer which has 2000 and I managed to get back all the right transitions, but the timing still dosnt work. When I look at the slide time it will say 10 seconds, but once you watch it the slide stays for about 1 second. Please help, I need to restore my timing and I'v tried everything.

If I were you, I'd just show the presentation using the PPT 2003 Viewer,
which will respect your PPT 2002 timings. That will be much easier for
you at this point, I think.

See http://www.echosvoice.com/autoruncd2.htm for instructions on
creating an autorun CD using the New PPT 2003 Viewer with PPT 2002.

If you don't need it to autorun, just skip the playlist, autorun INF and
BAT files.

Thank you so much!!! I burned the CD and it works perfect! You dont know how much you have helped me :)
