Can anyone help me? I have 2 seperate power point files, that i need to
combine into one. When I copy and paste the slides, the format of the
template changes. Is there any way to copy & paste, or otherwise combine 2
files and preserve the template/style/background of the slides?

When you go to the Insert menu and choose Slides from file, be sure to
check "keep source formatting" after you pick the file you want.

If you have version XP or 2003

Insert > slides from files and tick keep source formatting OR make sure you
have paste options ticked in tools > options >edit copy > paste and with the
paste options button > keep source format

Its a little different in 2007 use the reuse slides command in home button >
new slide

When I go to 'insert' from my toolbar, I cannot insert...(I have Vista), the
only option to insert is for a photo album
