1. If I save a Power Point slide show as a "Power Point Show" ie .pss
format, does this mean that I can run this show on any computer whether it
has the Power Point software or not? If not, is it possible to save the
slide show in such a way that anyone can view it, whether they have Power
Point or not?

2. In my slides I have both graphic and sound objects that are imported from
other files. I can determine the file source of my sound files by right
clicking on the "speaker" icon. How do I find the source of my graphic
(photo) on the same slide. I have tried right clicking, all kinds of stuff;
nothing works. How do I do it?

Thanks,

Vic

1. No and no. <G> A file with a .PPS file extension is the same format as
if the file extension were .PPT. The "S" just tells PowerPoint to open the
file in Slide Show mode. PowerPoint doesn't provide the function to save a
self-executing file. The user would always have to have PowerPoint or the
PowerPoint Viewer installed on their system. There are ways to use third
party software to capture a presentation as a video file, but that is
outside of your question and frankly the results are rather disappointing.
If you need to send a presentation to someone who doesn't have PowerPoint or
the Viewer, you might consider creating an autorun CD. For that, see:

2. Images are normally "inserted" and not linked, and as such they become
an embedded part of the presentation. Therefore there is no pointer to the
original source.
