In my course we are to post our power point to a discussion board. We will
do this by attaching the file. My question is when the file is opended how
do I set it to automatically start the slide show?
 
When you save it, save it as a PowerPoint presentation (.pps/.ppsx)

Hi Vale,

Saving your presentation as PowerPoint slide show is good way to start
the slide show automatically. Are you upload the presentation to
discussion board directly? I hope there are not music, Flash or videos
inserted to your presentation. Because music, Flash or videos are
linked to your presentation, if you only upload your presentation,
such objects cannot be shown. And it is also difficult for you to
upload your presentation to web in a big file size.

In fact, you could convert your presentation to Flash (http://
snipurl.com/ppt-swf) and reduce up to 90% file size, and then upload
the Flash to web, then others could view the Flash presentation
without problem no matter whether PowerPoint app installed on their
computers or not. Flash can be shown on 98% computers. You could view
