I created a slideshow in Movie Maker (because I had no video of the subject).
I am trying to put it on a CD or DVD. First, which one do I save it to? How
do I save it? Will it play on a DVD so I can show it at a party?THANKS

Save it as a .wmv file....File / Save Movie File /
Next / Next / Next...

Or save it as an .avi file as described in the
following article:

Once you have the movie file...you must
create your VCD (on a CD) or a DVD
on a DVD blank...using additional software.

The following articles should get you
started. (Either a VCD or a DVD should
play on most DVD players)

Did the movie (slide show) play correctly
when you previewed it in Movie Maker?

Sometimes, Movie Maker has problems
with certain file types. If your source files
are .jpg...try converting them to .bmp and
then try using them in Movie Maker.

Okay...now I feel stupid! Is a CD burner different from a DVD burner? Maybe
that's why!!!

John,
I "assume" the project saved as a wmv file. How do I change the file? I'm
going to try saving this again.
Thanks in advance.

What's to assume? Just look at the extension.
It would be like... My Birthday.wmv

If you cannot see the extensions on your files...
open a folder and go to...
Tools / Folder Options / View tab...
Uncheck...Hide extensions for known file types /
Apply / OK.
