Slide Show randomly displays incorrectly

I run power point presentations daily for an audience of around 300-500
people. Occasionally when the slide show is running random things happen to
the presentation. For example, all the letters on a line will be compressed
into the space of one letter, and today, several lines on one slide were
moved vertically into seemingly random locations.

This only happens on the computer used to display the presentation. It has
had all the updates for Windows, Office and hardware (monitor, video card,
etc.).

These problems are not acceptable and I need to find a solution. Any
thoughts from anyone?

Thanks a lot!

My feeling is that since it is machine specific this would most likely be a
driver problem - probably but not necessarily display drivers - with the
displaying machine. You might consider updated drivers therefore or just
try using a different machine for display purposes. For companies that I
have worked for I recommend having a dedicated machine to run important
Powerpoints which I keep under my very strict control.
Hope this of use.

John,

Thanks for the response. The machine we use is specifically for
presentations. Which is why I'm concerned that they are not displaying
properly. We have updated the video drivers with no change in results.

Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be a random incompatibility
problem with the system? (It's a stock Dell system designed for
presentations). I'll check again for more driver updates.

Thanks again.
