I am making a training ppt, and I have one page with text on it. I would like
to add three photos to the side that rotate (like a slideshow). Is there a
way to do that? I am using 2003

Hi,

Not sure I follow, but you could group them and then do a Spin Emphasis
animation?

By rotate I mean showing one photo for several seconds, it disappears, the
next one appears for several seconds, it disappears, and so on.

I see. You have different options for this: one would be to animate the
pictures and one would be to create multiple slides.

Animate:
1. Insert & arrange all your pictures
2. Select them all
3. Slide show -> custom animation -> add effect -> entrance -> fade (or
whatever you want)
4. With the pics still selected, add effect -> exit -> fade (or whatever) ->
select 'with previous' from Start drop down
5. Now you need to 'jiggle' the animations around in the task pane until you
have pic 1 fade in on click, pic 2 fade in on click & pic 1 to fade out with
previous, pic 3 fade in on click & pic 2 fade out with previous
I have a video tutorial on something similar here:
http://www.aneasiertomorrow.com.au/tutorials/2AtOnce/2AtOnce.html

Multiple slides:
1. Set up your slide with the first picture
2. Copy the slide
3. Change picture
4. Repeat
5. Set transition (slide show -> slide transition) to No transition and the
audience won't be able to tell they are actually different slides

Hope that helps. Post back if you have any questions,
Lucy
