Recently my slide show feature stopped working. I now get a program opening
indication in bottow system tray called "PowerPoint Slide Show...with the
name of the presentation" It does not open the slide show screen when
clicked. What has happened? Can someone help advise me?
Thanks in advance..

PowerPoint seems to have detected a second monitor and is displaying the
slide show on it. Select "Slide Show" | "Set Up Show..." menu item, select
"Primary monitor" in the "Show on" box, click OK. Now when you start the
slide show, PowerPoint will display the slide show on the primary monitor.

Go to Slide Show > Set Up Show and be sure that you have selected the Primary
Monitor for displaying the presentation. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the input, however, the "set up show" option is not highlighted
and I can not access it. What else can I do?

I was able to open the set up show box and it was already set for "primary
monitor". I tried to view slideshow and it did the same thing....Not sure
what else could be wrong...thanks for your input

Try rebooting your system and then open PowerPoint and open your presentation
and see if that clears anything.
