Slide re-entry

I know this is basic but I think I am searching for my answer in the on-line
help using the wrong question.

How do I get text anim effects to replay when I re-enter a slide? I'm using
action buttons to go back and forth to a menu but second time in, everything
just flashes up as a static page (like the anims are finished).

Thanks.

When you hyperlink back to a slide, PowerPoint remembers that the animations
have been played and hence will not repeat it again.

One way to resolve this is to add a dummy slide before the actual slide with
animations. Have the dummy slide set to Advance automatically after 00:00 in
the Slide Transition, then hyperlink to the dummy slide instead.

Another way is to reset the builds. Check the solution (Sample Code to Reset
the
Builds on a Slide) at:

As well as what Tohlz said another way is to have the menu slide as a
custom
show. Blank slides work fine but for me they're just not elegant!

I never use a blank slide. Rather I make a copy of the intended slide (sans
any animations) and use it as the dummy target slide. That way you (the
person viewing) never see an interuption.
