Depends on your version of PowerPoint, please, always include this important
info.
But, in PowerPoint 2002 the method is thus:
Insert | Movies and sounds ... | Sounds from file | Browse
Find your sound file and insert. PowerPoint will usually link to the sound
file unless it is a wav file under a specified size. If you are going to
distribute the presentation, then you may want to make a copy of the sound
file into the same folder as the ppt file before linking to it.
When added, PowerPoint will ask you if you want the sound to play
automatically when slide is shown. Answer accordingly.
