slide master problems

I have found from the forum that I have created a monster for myself quite
unknowingly.

I opened up an existing presentation that I had used successfully in
February, to edit, update and represent in September for a paying audience.

Saved the presentation with editing and reformatting of information on the
slides.

Opened at a later date and find that most of the formatting has changed, for
example font size and placeholder locations all over the place and NOT where
I saved after the formating and now has ruined the presentation. Fore
instance title slides with 80 font in blue that I had saved as black 28 font
GRRRRRRRRRRRFRRR

It seems that when I built the presentation I must have created multiple
masters?
So how do I find the multiple master slides then delete all but one that I
am using but NOT lose the weeks of work putting this package together. This
is a 4 day presentation: I CAN NOT afford to waste all this time over and
over again.

HELP!!!!

Gasman,

For PPT 2002/2003 - To view your masters go to View > Master > Slide Master.
This is where you can delete your mulitple masters.

You may need to reapply layouts, as well. To do this go to Format > Slide
Layout. In the Slide Layout task pane that appears on the right, go to the
slide layout thumbnail you need to apply. In the drop down menu for that
layout select Apply Layout to existing slide. Reapply as needed.

Hope this helps.

I'm working in powerpoint 2003. I have created several lectures which have 3 or 4 master slides. The lecture looks good when I save it and exit the program but when I return to it to work on it or to present it the design (backgrounds) have changed on some of the slides and the type formatting has also changed. How do I prevent this.
