!????? Hang on... Back when I studied psychology nicotine was classed as a relaxant (that first cigarette of the day... Mmmmmm, now if I could limit myself to that one smoke I'd probably still be a smoker. Don't tell tho ) And smoking in bed was classed as the primary cause of many house fires. So when did it become a stimulant?
Limit caffeine and alcohol. Avoid drinking caffeinated or alcoholic beverages for several hours before bedtime. Although alcohol may initially act as a sedative, it can interrupt normal sleep patterns.
Don't smoke. Nicotine is a stimulant and can make it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. Many over-the-counter and prescription drugs disrupt sleep.
Still, strange that, maybe I missed something but I don't seem to recall them mentioning the best cure of insomnia of them all. Well for the male gender anyway.
One of natures biggest jokes that really. The woman's left feeling all invigorated & the man get hit "wham" by a dose of the sleepies. Sorta blows that whole theory of man - natures polygamist & woman the evolutionary monogamist out of the water a bit tho, doesn't it?
