Twice now in RC2, when I bring my computer out of sleep mode, the power LED
shows constant light, so it indicates power, but the HD's do not kick on and
there is no screen signal? Any ideas? I'll give you detailed system specs
a little later, but I have some things to get done...

I am experiencing exactly the same thing. I bugged it to Microsoft. You
should also.

Same here. Power management sucks badly still, even in RC2, both my
desktop and laptop have differnt power management bugs...

System Specs:
ASUS K8N motherboard
AMD Sempron 2800+ OC'd @ 1.8GHz
1.5GB of RAM
Ati Radeon X1600 PRO AGP 8x 256MB GDDR 2 video card
WD 120GB 7200RPM IDE HD 8MB cache - Vista on a 60GB partition
WD 80GB 7200RPM IDE HD 2MB cache - XP
Creative Audigy soundcard

I've had more bugs with RC2 than I had with 5728. Then, I had more bugs and
issues with 5728 than I did with 5600. It looks like MS is getting further
away from RTM instead of closer.

And there's that annomoly yet again! Some people experiencing worsening
performance and others...... RC2 is performing better than all previous
builds for me! I've been testing all buillds on a high-performance desktop
and a relatively low-performance laptop! So, how do we/Microsoft equate all
this data? Makes you realise how complex this is for a software company
doesn't it?

I've had major issues with Vista power management. The most annoying so far
has been when I wake the computer up out of Sleep mode, I lose all Sound.
After a reboot (or disabling then enabling sound in device manager) then its
all ok. Until the next time the PC goes into Sleep mode.

My sound driver was received and installed from MSFT through windows update.

I too am having some problems with sleep. I'm now trying to stop going
into sleep from idling to see if that fixed the problems.

Could be worse. With my HP m7580n (amd 4600+) using RC2 x64 Build 5744, I
get a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) coming out of sleep mode. Needless to
say, I've disabled sleep. But, the good news is when I send in problem
reports now on this issue, I get an automated response that "The error is
being researched" which I take to mean this is a know bug that's on the
figure it out and fix list.

Count me one of the fortunate ones. RC2 definitely was a step in the right
direction for me. It is more stable then RC1 and cured my sleep/hibernation
issues. It also fixed problems I had with wireless connectivity. My specs,
Dell Inspiron 600m, 1.7 Centrino, Radeon 9000 mobile, 1GB Ram.
