Sleep Mode

I would just appreciate if you all came out with some way to fix this little
problem: when the computer is put down to sleep, it turns itself back on in
less than a minute, whenever the lid is closed the same thing happens--as a
result, my computer either has to be completely shut down or it is running
all of the time, which is shortening the life of my computer. The real
suggestion here is that Vista is a little crap and I can't find any practical
way to help myself without having to mess with BIOS or things I don't
understand--so next time I'm going to buy a Mac, because this is just getting
ridiculous!

Try this:

My computer\manage\device manager\network adapters\power management tab

Uncheck the box that says "Allow this device to wake the computer"

This can also be done for the mouse.

It's not a Vista issue per se so there is nothing to fix in the OS. It has
to do with the configuration of the computer, the specific hardware and
software, and the settings.
