Sleep & Loss of Internet connection solution

I haven't used this for long, but I've found that if I change the Power
Management setting for my Ethernet Card to select "Allow windows to turn this
off to save power" I do not lose my Internet connection when returning from
Sleep or Hibernation. This was suggested in a post from March 3rd, where a
poster said that Microsoft Support suggested it. It goes against everything
I've learned & told others about network cards, but it works. It must allow
Sleep to turn off the card and then restart it properly.

Now if only I could get Vista to stop dropping my DVD-RW drive after Sleep,
I'd be happy.

Thank you for the tip.

I see how to do this on the ethernet card but I don't have the power
management tab with this option for the wireless card. How can I change this
setting for my wireless connection? I have this wake up lose connection
problem and it's really frustrating.
