slave hard drive

i have just installed a slave hard drive(samsung 160gig)
but my pc only recognises it having 32 gig.My master hard
drive is 120gig and is recognized all the time.all advice
will be appreciated as i am only a begginer.

When you say my computer recognises, do you mean my BIOS recognises or
Windows recognises or in explorer I only see... That would be a big
difference...

Your slave hard drive was formatted in Windows XP as a fat32 partition. 32
gig is the largest partition of this type that it will create/format.

Either delete the partition and create a NTFS partition (will use the whole
drive) or format the partition from a DOS boot using Partition Magic. Then
you will be able to format the entire drive as one fat32 partition.
