slave hard drive enclosed in parenthesis

I have a second hard drive that does not have the operating system on it.
It's used for storage only, music, pictures, documents, etc. I recently had
an issue and had to re-install XP on the master hard disk. After that I
cannot access my slave disk. When i enter set up and check the boot sequence,
it tells me that it's enclosed in parenthesis. Never seen this one before and
don't know what to do. Have I lost my files stored on this disk? Is it even
usable anymore. Any info would be appreciated.

I think the key here is that you re-installed Windows. Was the second file
installed when you purchased the machine?
If not the CD may not match the original configuration. You should probably
uninstall the second drive completely
and then re-install it.
