Slave drive recognition

Does anyone know why, if the Cmos recognizes a new slave
hard drive Xp does not? Even after running hardware wiz
and locating the drive each time the pc is rebooted the
drive does not show up in explorer.

You will have to right click "my computer" icon, left
click "manage" and left click "disk management" and set
it up there. good luck
