If your slave drive is not seen in bios before your system is allowed to
boot, then you may not have installed it correctly.
If unseen in bios, please reply with a great deal more of detailed
information. SATA? IDE? Does your master need its configuration
changed? What's the make and model of each drive? Are both drives on
the same bus? Is good power connected to the slave drive?
If it's not recognized, either you did *not* install it correctly or
you have a hardware problem.
Please clarify exactly what you did:
1. Is this a new drive you just installed?
2. Is it IDE or SATA?
3. If it's IDE, why do you call it a "slave drive"? Did you install it
as the second device on an IDE cable? If so, how is the other device
on the cable jumpered? Is it Master, Only Drive, or CS?
4. Did you set the jumper of the new drive to Slave?
