My DVD/CD-RW combo drive has suddenly become a salve disk.how can i make it a
master disk?please help me

It would only be a "slave disk" if you had a Master disk on the IDE
cable. I suggest reading the installation instruction for the 2 drives
if you want to switch the order. (See manufacturers web site)

Did you make any changes inside the case?

What is the configuration jumper on the drive set to? There are
normally 3 possible selections: Master, Slave, and Cable Select.

If the jumper is set in the Cable Select position and you changed the
cable so that the drive is now plugged into the middle connector
rather than the end connector then that would change it from Master to
Slave.

However "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

There is zero performance or usability difference between a DVD or CD
drive configured as master or slave so there is no need to be
concerned *unless* you did not make any changes inside the computer
case that might have caused the drive to change from master to slave.

Good luck
