Whilst looking for some free software (I know, I know~naughty me!), I got a
nasty little recurring set of popups, the 'ringleader' of these being headed
'SLADPWSK'.

I use AVG pro, Spybot S&D, Adaware, and Spyware doctor, but I'm not sure
even now if I've really got rid of it.
It seemed to be an ActiveX item so I cleared out ActiveX and only re-allowed
installation of items I trust. I haven't seen it since, but it'd be nice to
know its really gone.
Anyone got experience of it?

No but you should use a bigger rubber.
Perhaps add spyware blaster,spyware guard,script defender,script sentry
to your arsenal and Microsoft's antispyware just for good measure.
Oh,and use firefox. You know what? nevermind-just unplug the damm thing.

Hello,

You may wish to try Super Ad Blocker with SUPERAntiSpyware (That file is in
our database - if it is located in Windows\System32):
http://www.superadblocker.com

Super Ad Blocker | SUPERAntiSpyware offers several unique features such as
using a system level driver to delete detected items, so pests do not come
back once detected and cleaned.

Super Ad Blocker offers a fully functional 15-day trial. You can scan and
clean your computer and then remove Super Ad Blocker if you do not wish to
keep it. We do appreciate when users support our development efforts by
purchasing the product :)

If that does not find and/or remove the spyware/adware on your machine, you
can submit a diagnostic and I will diagnose your machine for free and post
the results back to the group and update our rules with anything found:
http://www.superadblocker.com/diagnostic.html?id=nicks

You may also wish to "see" what is running on your computer here:

have a vested interest in Super Ad Blocker, SUPERAntiSpyware and
FileResearchCenter.com. You, the user, have no obligation to purchase the
software and are free to try the software, clean/fix your system, and then
uninstall.

Why, in German it describes acertain kind of fowl, the quail. I assume
he has some German great-grandparents.

And if you think, his comment is way out, please say so. He can stand
it. Sure, you admitted you were a bit too uncautious. But did you
already read

and follow its suggestions?
