There's a new version of Skyrim out now, some five years after the original was released: Skyrim Special Edition.
This version works on Xbox One; PlayStation 4 and PC, though Sony have throttled the use of mods on the PS4.
If you owned Skyrim through Steam on PC together with the 3 DLC's: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn then the new version is for free and will show up in your Steam library. I did own all of those and I've been playing the new version yesterday evening.
The main change is improved graphics and there is some improvement although to be honest playing at 1920 x 1080 on my GTX970 I soon became used to the improvement and it didn't really make much difference to the playability.
On my old version of Skyrim I was using the SKSE interface to improve graphics and the game GUI and I hade lots of mods and extra levels installed. Now I'm just going to use this new version - which also includes all the official DLC - and play this game through again as this is one of the better games I've played.
