Skype is it a spyware?, after installing skype, on PC
startup all other programs didn't run at startup including
microsoft AntiSpyware. After reboot and disabling skype
autostartup all went normal, it appears!

Hi Antonio:

Skype the internet telephone program? I've not seen that
it contains any spyware. Anyone know if there is anything
attaching itself to Skype?

What OS are you using?

If you are using XPSP2 try this:

Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup;
Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet
Files C:\Documents
and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files folder ;
Run a full scan of MASA X2 while in safe mode; To select
full scan in MSAS, on the scan page choose scan options >
Full system scan.
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-
ons, and uncheck any BHO's that you don't recognize.

Hope this helps.

I've run a VPC with Skype and Microsoft Antispyware installed, and not seen
any interaction between the two. I never got to the point of actually
setting up an account with Skype, though--just had the app barely installed.

I've got to say it doesn't keep good company, though. The install of Skype
came with BearShare, as I recall, which definitely came with a load of
spyware, although I wouldn't include Skype in that description.
