Skype download - genuine?

I'm unable to login to my existing free Skype account or get a new
password. I've emailed Support (with little optimism, based on my googling
about others' experiences). But, as I want to use my webcam today,
meanwhile I tried registering a new account. That failed too, with a
message telling me something like "Do so direct..." and linking me to a
download file.

But I'm nervous about that downloaded file. As shown in this screenshot,
it appears to from "another computer" (which was not the case with the
earlier one months ago), and is also MUCH smaller.

Anyone able to check the size of their recent Skype setup file, or advise
on that worrying message please?

Hi Terry

I recently (23/08/10) Downloaded SkypeSetup.exe - size 1,665KB.
All seems OK with it.

Eric

Thanks Eric. Pleased to report that when I tried again last night (some 6
hours after giving up), Skype automatically updated its software and
allowed me to login. Must have wasted 5 hours that morning on what I now
believe was a Skype service problem. Surprising it didn't affect more
users though.

So I never needed to execute that skypesetup.exe file, although checking
with another user I concluded it was indeed genuine.
