Sky Drive

Some of you might have seen this already, but I see that Microsoft has a version of on-line storage - free, and 5 GB worth - called Windows Live SkyDrive. Password-protected, and it isf Windows and Mac friendly... heck, it even accepts Firefox browsers!

I can see that it could be useful in the event of a PC disaster of some sort
but I just wondered whether anyone here uses it and what people think of this kind of cyber storage in general?

Just been "playing" with this, seems a little easier than gmail's rendition, though it took me a wee while to figure out how to invite people. :o :D

Woops, sorry Mucks, only spotted this after I'd pm'd you :p Well it gets a thumbs up from me, as it was very good. It was a tad slow to do anything after I clicked on the video link, but when it came up it was very clear and impressive I thought. :thumb:

Cool, may have to give this a try. I had a quick look last night, and it looked like it would be ideal for putting pictures on and then letting my friends have access to them. :-)

Google's Picasa is better for pics, except video pics. :thumb:

Picasa has a whole host of advantages over this SkyDriver, however, you may as well "sign-up" if you already have a MS passport. ;)

Now I have both.

I'm not surprised, it was/is a 45MB video.  :D Not bad from a hand held camera. :thumb:
