Afte swearing I'd never buy another used motherboard on ebay - I bought one
!
As soon as I slid it out of the bag I could see the glistening of bent pins
!
....and with a magnifying glass I can see three or four excessively squashed
ones and one that is snapped off !

After unsuccsessful hunt for Skt 775 pin-out chart, can anyone tell me it
the following pin is used.

Viewing Skt, 775 so that the two cpu locating lugs are top and bottom, on
the right hand side.
Centre "square" of pins, 6th from the left, is the snapped off one, i.e. the
one above the "s" !

e.g.

x x
x x
x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
s

btw it's an old Abit AS8-V

TIA

regards, Richard

Many thanks,

....looks like I'm in with a chance - it's a common VCC pin :-)

Why bring this up here? What does this have to do with the OS (next
time notice the letters X and P preceeding the word hardware in the
group title, please)

And in all the years of you trolling in this newsgroup posting your pitiful
cr*p, you actually got one right. Take it as a triumph and retire from the
field victorious.
