x2 Windows 2000 Server Domain Controllers.
- DC1 is acting as the file & print server
- DC2 has Exchange 2000 running on it
- Both servers are current on all patches
- Both servers have A/V running that is always updated and configured with
best practice models.
- DC2 has Symantec Mail security for Exchange running.
- Both servers are continuously virus scanned

Problem:
Both servers continously have the KDC service set to disabled randomly
through out the day. The service itself does not shut down, the servers are
only effected in the event of a reboot where the service isn't reset to
Automatic.

I can not figure out what is causing this annoying problem. I have run
virus scans over and over. There is nothing significant in the logs except
the notations that show the service going up and down. There is no
applications running on either server that would cause that service to fail.

Advice??

"Set to disable" where?

If this just the normal case of the KDC running periodically, or
do you mean some setting that actually DISABLES it for the
subsequent boot?

How are you resetting it? (And to what...?)
