I'm trying to do a simple slide presentation......each slide is a photo and
caption. However, the images when imported are huge.

What's the command to have each image downsized at proper ratios to fit into
the slide image box? Do they all have to be resized before bringing them
into PowerPoint?

Help didn't really explain automatic sizing of images.

Appreciate some input, Tom in Pensacola

Use Insert => Picture => New Photo Album... -- and select 1 picture with
title from the layout drop down box in the dialog box that follows. Also
select all the photos. It will automatically resize the images and allow
you to add captions.

Better yet, use Image Importer Wizard. IIW does a better job and is worth
the few bucks, IMHO. http://skp.mvps.org/iiw.htm

Thank you very much. I ended up going to the Microsoft site and downloading
the Album.exe file. Then I was able to select and put about two hundred
airshow images into a file in just a few minutes. Now I'm doing the
captions. This sure is easier.

I'm also looking at IIW as you suggested.

Again, thanks for answering and for hitting the nail squarely on the head,
Tom
