HELP
I was trying to resize down some pix. However the picture isn't centered.
The thumbnail shows the original picture, the resized does not look the same
as the thumbnail.
When I click on the thumbnail it opens into the weird resized.
Thanks.

=======================================
Please explain exactly how you resized
the images. And....what is the name of the
program you are using to do the resizing.

It's sounds like you may be cropping instead
of resizing.

FWIW...the following free PowerToy can
be very useful for resizing images:

Go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

Paint can be tricky to use and IMHO...is
not useful for resizing images. Maybe the
following tutorial will be useful if you wish
to continue using it:

A Guide to Microsoft Paint (Windows XP)

In addition to the resizer I posted for you...
the following free software may be useful:

Sorry, I don't do private e-mail...it defeats
the purpose of the newsgroups which is to
share the knowledge with everyone.

Post your message in this forum and I will
be happy to answer it.
