I took my computer in for service and to add extra RAM. It now runs
faster but all the web pages and other things like Word pages are now
reduced in size. Is there a way to restore them? Thanks.

Reduced in size how? Does not fill the screen?

Whichever shortcut you are using to launch the window, right click it and
select properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down, choose "Maximized".

If the window still opens small, try this next:

First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window and
drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File>Close, or File>Exit
depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the last screen size
used the next time you open the program.

I tried your first suggestion, but couldn't find "Run".
The window fills the screen, but its content does not. There's space,
usually on the right and on the bottom. So all the content of the
window is reduced in size, making the print difficult to read.

The extra RAM should not affect display size.

Did this happen immediately after you collected the computer from the
service engineer? If so, the technician has probably changed some
settings. Without knowing what he has done, it is difficult to advise.

Take the computer back. Complain and insist he corrects the problem at
no extra charge.

Start, Control Panel, Display, Settings. Screen Resolution. Try a lower
resolution.

Also on some monitors there is the ability to adjust the image. Look at
your monitor manual.

Hope this helps.

It did work! Thanks VERY much - you saved me two long drives to and
from the service guy. Thanks also to the rest of you.
