Hello,
I got a WORD document from a friend, 677 kb size. I opened and re-saved it
(under a different name) without making any modification and the size went down
to 72 kb. Both documents appear identical when opened.
My friend runs on MS-XP-SP2. His WORD is XP-2002-SP3.
I run on MS-W2000-SP4 ; my WORD is same as his : XP-2002-SP3. The settings might
of course be different.
What can be the cause of having such a big 677 kb file, containing apparently no
more information than the small 72 kb file ?
How can one avoid create such a big file ?
Thank you in advance for your help and explanations.
