When I first got my computer, the icons and type werre
tiny. This was not affected by the "view"text size. A
friend did something - but he forgot what he did- and got
the icons and text to be big enough to see. Now my
problem is that when I install a new microsoft "fix", and
have to restart my computer, it goes back into the tiny
type again. I can fix it by using the "return to earlier
settings" thingy, but I think that may erase the new
microsoft fix i just downloaded, since the "new download"
message comes on immediately. Not all the time,, but
often.
How do I get the regular size type/icons without having
to return to previous settings??
thanks

Perhaps they changed the DPI setting? Display Properties> Advanced>
Settings> General. Default setting is "Normal [96 DPI]." May want to try
"Large [120 DPI]"

I tried to send you an email but your mailbox is full...
I followed your kind instructions,to find that my large
icons and type are on "normal" setting. So I assume that
there is another control.
Any ideas?
thanks
