Size all columns to fit

I'd like to set "Size all columns to fit" for all folders as default, but
can't see how to do so.

Just dwell your mouse pointer on the division lines between the columns and
see the two headed arrow, Hold the mouse button down and drag the column
sideways. This is a universal feature of MS applications.

That will just do it once and so I have to do it every time that I view a
folder & on each occasion. There's an option under right click to "Size all
columns to fit" and I'd like that to automatically occur each time that I
open a folder.

When I set mine to wide and then close and reopen it opens to the reset
size. Are you saying your does not do this?

It's another annoying bug, once it has been resized it should stay like that
but it doesn't

Clayton, I wholeheartedly agree. Has no one found a way to get this rather
small thing accomplished? It is a CONSTANT annoyance! Also, has anyone seen a
fix / add-on / outside vendor offer up a "folders size" function so that a
user can see the size of the folders along with seeing the size of the files
in any particular subdirectory? In XP there was an addon from someone (whom
or who - I forget) but it was so easy to look at an entire subdirectory and
see what size EVERYTHING in that sibdirectory was without having to right
click to properties and check EACH dang folder to see what size it was.
Sometimes I can guage what is in a particular folder simply by knowing its
size. These are two very specific things that Microsoft did not address - but
should - VERY SOON! I need some sizing options in Texas!
