Sites don't recognize IE6

When i go to some websites they do not recognize i have
IE6 installed. Also when i go to Microsoft for updates
the scan doesn't work.

I get the following when i go to some sites:
"msxml3.dll error '80072f76'
The requested header was not found
/library/toolbar/3.0/vb.asp, line 34"
i have XP and recently deleted some files with spykiller

THAKS!
 
That does not resolve the problem, when i go to the MS
office website and scan for updates i get a message that
i am running an unsupported browser.

post your question at the Windows Update newsgroup ....

Sounds like a Firewall\AV problem?
