Hi All,
I am planning a new AD domain and moving away from the current multi-domain
NT4 model in every site to a simpler model for a domain in each country
however I need to configure sites and svcs so that a specific site will
authenticate with a local DC placed at each site and run a specific logon
script (which are also held locally)

I know this is setup through site links but are there any good websites with
how to's for this or is there a way I could do this through DNS.

Obviously the AD info will be replicated to all the DCs in each domain which
is fine but I need to master the Sites and svcs console.

Rgrds.

Prits,

You do not necessarily need a domain for each country. However, that is
probably not a bad idea....We would need more information.

There are a lot of Knowledge Base articles on Active Directory Sites and
Services. I might suggest that you go to http://support.microsoft.com and
then select 'Windows 2000' and then enter 'kcc' and 'istg' as well as take a
look at the following MSKB Articles:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=318480
